Coca-Cola Recipes


Every month we'll be featuring a different recipe from this great book by Elizabeth Candler Graham who is the Great-great-granddaughter of Asa Griggs Candler, founder of The Coca-Cola Company.

Ever since Eve gave Adam that apple, we've all pretty well liked fruit. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how products shuch as Coca-Cola and Fresca enhance the flavors of fresh fruit. Also, the recipes in Chapter 10 are easy and quick to prepare.

April 2008: Coca-Cola Fruit Delight

Ingredients:

1 can (16 oz) sliced peaches
1 package (3 oz) cherry flavored gelatin
1 package (3 oz) raspberry flavored gelatin
1 ½ cups boiling water
1 ½ cups Coca-Cola
1 can (16 oz) sliced pears, drained
½ cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise

Drain the peaches, reserving the syrup. In a mixing bowl, disslove the gelatins in the boiling water. Add the Coca-Cola and the reserved syrup. Chill until partially set. Fold in the pears and peaches. Pour into a 6 cup mold and chill until firm. Combine the sour cream and maynnoise and serve as a topping.
